4th InterGrasio Competition 2009

Dear Friends,

For the current 4th InterGrasio Competition 2009, we have 6 pesilat who made a go for the tanding. We should be joyous as our pesilat had brought a Gold, a Silver and a Bronze medals for TJCC Grasio Scorpion.

Congratulations to Dian Afiqah Bte Salaihuddin for a achieving a GOLD medal, Kamal Taufiq Bin Mohd Shahrir, a SILVER medal and Aisha Janssens for a BRONZE medal. These three pesilat have no experience in tanding but they went forward as fighter to face the fierce opponent in the name of sportsmanship.

We would like to encourage our pesilat to participate in tanding competition and apply what had been taught in sparring techniques during training sessions.

For your information, the official ceremony of the 4th InterGrasio Competition will be in month of July. That is when the opening and closing ceremony and main competition will be held. The medals presentation will also be on this date.

So make yourself free on this date ( to be announced soon) to give support to our pesilat.

TJCC Grasio Scorpion Family Day

Good health to all pesilat, parents & guardians.

We are delighted to inform all that we will be organising our yearly Family Day :

Venue : West Coast Recreational Park
Date : Friday, 10th April 2009
Time : 10am to 5pm

It's going to be a fun day with games for all.

There will be group games (just like the one we had at Labrador Park) and lucky draws.

Packed meals and transport will be provided.

It's free tickets for all pesilat, and family members just need to pay $3/ticket for meal and lucky draw to join in the fun.

Important Announcement- Photo taking

Dear pesilat,

In preparation for the creation of GRASIO calendar year 2010, Grasio Association will be conducting a photo taking session. This photo taking session is compulsory for all pesilat to attend. Please confirm your attendance for the session by sending sms to 98155884. Transport will be provided. Please meet at 6pm punctually at Taman Jurong CC.

Update of Upcoming News and Events

Dear Pesilat,

Please take note of the following matters.

1. Please be reminded to renew membership, insurance and CC fee for year 2009. If you have questions, do come and see our TM/PS. Those who had paid, kindly ignore this reminder.

2. There will be a silat performance at Taman Jurong Zone B RC on this Sunday, 15 February from 11am to 2pm in celebrating the Lunar New Year Block Party. Refreshment and food will be provided. Interested pesilat who wants to participate need to inform Instructor Icah or Madam Siti.

3. Grasio 1st Grading Belt Test will be on Sunday, 22 March at Jalan Besar CC starting from 2pm onwards. Those who wants to upgrading from their present belt, please submit consent form with your name, present belt colour and test fee to our Instructor. Training for grading belt 'Jurusan' will start soonest.

4. Good news. 4th Inter Grasio Competiton 2009 is scheduled in May. Pesilat interested to participate need to submit your particulars in the consent form available from TM/PS. You need to choose Match or Artistic Competition or both. Our Instructor Icah will guide you through the training. Details of competition are available from TM/PS.

Happy to see that all pesilat are already attending training at Taman Jurong CC on the 8th January 2009.
